I think at this point, it’s safe to assume I have a weird sense of fashion. I tend to enjoy the more weird and bizarre when it comes to fashion, but I also prefer it to be practical, comfortable, and to at least make sense in it’s madness.
Hence why I tend to be drawn to a style of fashion called “Clown-core”.
Now, If you don’t know what Clown-core is, it’s pretty simple. I’m sure you’ve heard of cottage-core or fairy-core. They are all a type of style that tells someone the type of thing they are trying to showcase.
Clown-core is simply fashion that a clown would wear.
Clown-core is a style that I particularly enjoy. I like the chaos of clown-core, and how it looks like a tailoring store threw up on someone. I love it.
This piece was simply something I wanted to do with some cargo pants i had lying around and some extra fabric I had. I used some fabric dye to give the pants some extra color and wanted to use some crushed velvet I had left over from another project.
I have the pants done, but I have yet to get to the shirt just yet. I think I might work on it now that my sewing supplies has been updated.
