Odd Fashion for Weird People.

Aphrodite Blouse

This Blouse was made inspired by a Pin on Pinterest I saw. I thought to myself, “Man, I’d love to own a shirt like that… wait a minute… I could just… Could I?

It was very simple to make, only two yards of a fabric of your choice and 3 pairs of shoelaces. I first measured out the length of the body of the blouse, then cut that length. Next, was measuring where I wanted the middle to open and cutting down that. Then, I measured where I wanted the armholes and cut the body of the blouse into three separate pieces.

Then it was so much sewing for the little holes for the shoelaces to thread through, and finally, on to the sleeves.

The sleeves required two tubes running down the length of the sleeves, then one single tube along the wrist to cinch whenever needed.

After that, it was simply a matter of putting the pieces together.

I am very proud of this piece as it is quite versatile. There are thousands of different ways you could style this top, hence why it was named after the Greek Goddess, Aphrodite, who was known to be the goddess of love.
