History Reimagined: The Priest

The Priest.

I will not lie to you, this was my absolute favorite design to make out of the entire collection. So much detail and opulence went into it that I lost track of all the little details this design holds, but I’ll do my best to explain them.

First, and the most simple, is the coat. This was a Design I saw on Rednote (TikTok) and fell in love with. It was essentially a blanket with a ribbon sewn into it to tie the sleeves together and ruffles along the edge of the coat.

Next is the lace, ruffle blouse. It’s a loose-fitted shirt with a lace front along with a ruffled edge of the lace into the silk. The sleeves are hidden by the coat but I wanted them to be simple and elegant, wrinkled slightly to keep the cuff above the wrist for easier movement.

The simple, wide-flare pants are for maneuverability and comfort, while the corset is full of opulence and prestige. I wanted white, red and gold to show just how corrupt this priest really is.

The gold chains and jewels added more to the look to really give you a sense of royalty. Opulence in the face of the poor.

Such is life.
